Welcome to Small Business Plans by Assent (SBPA). By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

Small Business Plans by Assent (SBPA) offers a comprehensive range of business planning services. These include:

  • Strategic advice and consultation
  • Market and industry research
  • Information and data gathering
  • Financial data preparation (if required)
  • Document formatting, design, editing, and proofreading

All services are delivered via online meetings or phone, desk research and production, by default.

Face-to-face meetings can be arranged upon request; additional fees apply.

2. Elibility

To use our services, you must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement under Australian law.

3. Bookings and Payments

All bookings must be made through our website or approved booking links. Payment is required in advance unless otherwise arranged. Prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and exclude GST.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling Appointments: Clients may reschedule their online meetings at no charge using the booking link provided. If you prefer our Consultant to reschedule on your behalf, a $27.50 fee applies to cover administrative time.
  • No-Shows: If you’re unavailable at the scheduled time for your online meeting, there’s no fee. You may rebook using the original link or request manual rebooking (subject to the $27.50 fee).
  • Late Starts to online meetings: If you’re late or experience technical delays, the Consultant will wait up to 10 minutes. If the online meeting starts after this window, it will be closed due to insufficient time to complete the session.
  • Technical Issues: If your microphone or camera isn’t working during the online meeting, the Consultant will call you by phone. SBPA does not provide technical support during the meeting, as this would reduce the time available for the Discovery process.
  • Using a Phone for the Meeting: If contacted by phone, the Consultant will continue using Microsoft Teams during the online session to record updates and changes, which will later be shared with you for review and sign-off.

5. Refunds and Cancellations After Purchase

SBPA complies with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and NSW Fair Trading regulations. Clients are entitled to a refund, replacement, or cancellation only when the service fails to meet consumer guarantees, such as:

  • The service was not delivered with due care and skill
  • The service was not fit for the agreed purpose
  • The service was not delivered within a reasonable time (if no timeframe was agreed)

If a business plan or related service does not meet these guarantees, clients may be eligible for a full or partial refund, or other remedy, after assessment.

However, change of mind, incorrect assumptions, or client withdrawal after work has commenced do not automatically entitle the client to a refund.

SBPA reserves the right to assess the situation and determine whether a remedy is appropriate.

All refund requests must be submitted in writing and will be reviewed in accordance with the ACL and NSW Fair Trading guidelines.

6. Meeting Participation

Clients are kindly asked not to share or invite additional participants to the Step 2 or Step 6 online meetings unless those individuals have been listed as interested parties in the Step 1 Questionnaire.

7. Confidentiality

SBPA is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all client information and data at all times. This commitment applies to all SBPA staff.

8. Confidentality Agreements

Upon request, SBPA provides clients with a free Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) for added assurance.

9. Intellectual Property

All materials provided by SBPA, including templates, reports, and guides, remain the intellectual property of SBPA. Clients are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use these materials for their own business purposes only.

10. Limitation of Liability

SBPA provides guidance and support based on the information provided by clients. We do not guarantee business outcomes. To the extent permitted by law, SBPA is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of our services.

11. Changes to Terms

SBPA may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that juridiction.
